Carson Kauffman

Our story is a bit different from the others! You see, Carson is adopted!  He was born severely premature weighing only 1 pound 15 ounces and measuring 13-3/4" long. Carson had many, many medical problems.  He was not even diagnosed with Down syndrome until he was a month and a half old.  After 93 days in the NICU of the hospital we finally brought him home. 

Needless to say, our lives have been forever changed - a change that we would not trade for anything!  He is now 10 years old and will be going into 4th grade this year.  He absolutely LOVES to play any kind of ball - baseball, basketball, football, etc.  He loves going to baseball games to watch his favorite teams - Harrisburg Senators and Washington Nationals. 

He has impacted so many people in his short 10 years of life.  We cannot wait to see what he grows up to become!
